Krews is a community of people who are passionate about creating and sharing customized versions of the popular online game Habbo Hotel, which are known as "retros" or hotels.
The community is made up of private server owners, developers, and enthusiasts who work together to build tools, software, and servers needed to run a private Habbo Hotel game. By using the tools developed by Krews, you can host your own unique version of Habbo Hotel, for free!
Members of the Krews community have significantly contributed to the Habbo Hotel scene with various projects, such as:
Arcturus Morningstar - A Habbo Hotel emulator developed using the Java programming language. The project is a community continuation of the renowned Arcturus Emulator, which was abandoned by it's originator in 2019. The Emulator remains prominent in the Habbo scene, standing out as the most active and popular free emulator available to the public. Its developer-friendly plugin system and continuous updates strive to deliver a brilliant experience to its dedicated community of users.
Nitro Client - A project started with the purpose of addressing the challenges presented by the discontinuation of Adobe Flash Player in 2020. This initiative focused on the conversion of the Habbo Hotel Flash Client to HTML5, utilizing the capabilities of TypeScript and PixiJS. The project has made a valuable contribution to the preservation and enhancement of the Habbo Hotel community and is the main client used by many Habbo retros today.

The evolution of Habbo Hotel private servers ("Habbo Retros") began in 2005, with the first successful replication by early pioneers and expanded significantly over the years with developers introducing customizations and new features that were not available in the official Habbo Hotel.
Despite challenges and the discontinuation of Adobe Shockwave and Flash, which initially powered Habbo, the community adapted by developing new emulators and transitioning to HTML5, ensuring the continued popularity and development of Habbo retros, with the Krews emerging as a key community in driving future innovations.
